For Future Doctors of America

Students in the United States who are our future star medical doctors can apply for the Dr. Ankita Singh Scholarship to be eligible for our funding of $1,000 which we will award to the winner of our essay contest.  We would like to wish all of the students who apply good luck in our contest and with your futures as practicing medical doctors!

Scholarship Overview

Dr. Singh has spent years practicing medicine in both India and the United States. She currently practices as a hospitalist, and is dual board certified in both family medicine and obesity medicine. Now she wants to give back to the next generation of medical doctors.

The Dr. Ankita Singh Scholarship is awarding a $1,000 fund to a deserving student, and is geared towards students who are on the road to become a medical doctor. Interested students can enter our essay contest below to apply.

Criteria

For students to apply, be a current student who is studying to become a medical doctor at a university in the United States or high school students that will attend university to study medicine.

We will award our scholarship fund based on an essay competition.  We will select 1 deserving winner based on a creative essay which answers the following in less than 1000 words:  

“Having a degree in medicine is a powerful responsibility.  How will you use your degree in medicine to give back to your community?”

Amount

One time award of $1,000

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is November 15, 2022.

Winner Announced

The winner for the scholarship will be announced December 15, 2022.

How to Apply

Student applicants should email their answers to the essay question “Having a degree in medicine is a powerful responsibility.  How will you use your degree in medicine to give back to your community?” in Word Doc format to [email protected].

Along with the essay, please provide the following information:
